Alexander Ruppel, Vice Governor, held this year’s first business meeting of the regional Film Commission. Producer companies from India took part in the meeting.
Chiefs of the executive authorities, regional Center for export support, Russian-Indian Center, representatives of the Film Society and producer companies of Kuban participated in online negotiations.
– Film shooting on the territory of the region contributes to promotion of the regional potential both domestically and internationally. At this, local business community shall be involved into the project too, - emphasized Alexander Ruppel. The Regional Film Commission will render support at all stages of production – from obtaining public support measures up to organization of uninterrupted shooting process.
The region has developed public support measures for film producers: the regional budget is capable of compensating up to 20% of costs incurred during the shooting process on the territory of the region. For this purpose, the scenario should give a reference to Krasnodar region and demonstrate its natural, touristic and architectural sightseeing attractions.
According to Paresh Navani, representative of the Russian-Indian Center, the climatic specifics of Krasnodar region provides unique capabilities for expansion of the shooting geography. The negotiations about shooting of several Indian films in Kuban are now under way.
The next step in the negotiations with the Indian party will be the conclusion of the Letter of Intent in the area of cinematography.
